I came to Neyagawa.

I conducted a gait evaluation of a stroke patient in charge of Ohata-kun.
This patient has hospitalized at Takarazuka rehabilitation hospital for about 6 months.
Currently severe motor paralysis is recognized, but as you can see, this patient  became to be able to walk with a cane and AFO（with oil damper) in a very good posture.
Muscle activity of the gastrocnemius also appears selectively in the stance phase.


In gait training of this stroke patient, we also kept in mind that using the elastic band of T-Support　continuously to make the alignment of the terminal stance a good one.
Fortunately, in today's evaluation, there was no significant change in the alignment of the lower limbs during walking, with and without elastic bands.


Today I came to Osaka Electro - Communication University in Neyagawa City from the evening.
Once a month, we meet with the professor who is researching robot engineering about the development of a walking device with a new function.
I have been busy for the last few days, but I feel that I learn a lot of things from this conference.


This is a prototype of the new type walker used at Takarazuka Rehabilitation Hospital.
During walking, the patient can display on the monitor how much he is shipping with his arms and record it.


By the way, we have an academic conference hosted by The Clinical Gait Analysis Forum of Japan in Hokkaido this autumn.
Today, from the chairman, I was asked to chair a session about the gait of stroke patient.
I am very honored and I will accept it.
I am looking forward to going to Hokkaido in autumn.


Today I received a summer bonus.
While thinking about luxurious occasion, I stopped by a famous Chinese restaurant and bought an almond jelly on my way to the conference of Neyagawa.
In order to eat with my wife, I bought two almond jelly and went home.


It was very delicious.
